Custom report to show references to a project?

PPMC v. 7.5 sp6

Has anyone been able to create a report or portlet that shows all request references associated with a Project?  You can do this as a standard report for requests, so I don't understand why HP doesn't do this for projects.

Anyway, if you have any SQL that you can post, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

Re: Custom report to show references to a project?

You can look at the References tab on the project's Overview page...

Re: Custom report to show references to a project?

You Can get referance and relationship data for a project from following tables.

FROM prodpitg.pm_projects proj,
  prodpitg.knta_references ref1,
  prodpitg.knta_ref_relationships rel,

WHERE rel.ref_relationship_id = ref1.ref_relationship_id
 AND ref1.source_id = proj.project_id

Hi LK,

There is "Request References" OOTB portlet.

For your case you can configure that portlet like this:

Request Type: <Your project request type>

Reference Type: <What type of request types are related with projects>

thats all.

Re: Custom report to show references to a project?

Hi,

Is it possible to add  additional columns/fields to the screen you have posted (Doc1.docx) ?

We would like to have a freely editable description for reference between projects

(one project referencing another - as dependent upon second one) and health of thatdependency:

red  - this dependency creates problems for the first project (the one being dependent upon second one)

yellow - moderate problems

green - no problems caused by refernced project

best regards

Re: Custom report to show references to a project?

Hi Artur,

* It's too hard to make it: find portlet jsp file and change it. Then find portlet SQL and change it.
* Another way is make portlet yourself. It's easy and most flexible way.

Hi Lenn Kano,

Is it satisfy your request ? please inform us.
