Hi, regarding custom applications the documentation of the basic app server JBoss may help. Never tried myself though. If you like to embed flash (or any other media type) you would want to have a read-only field with the HTML fragment (object tag) as content. The HTML has to start with to be rendered. The flash file has to be available for the server of course. hth
we integrated a simple JSP into PPM server. Just go to /server//deploy and create a new directory like 'custom.war' then create the JSP file 'HelloWorld.jsp' with 'Hello World' as content Restart PPM and open this URL http://:/custom/HelloWorld.jsp
I tried as you said by creating a war and deployed a jsp. It gives me a page cannot be displayed error.
I am very interested in knowing more about embedding a flash on a request. How would you get data and store data to the database using flash. I mean do you use any out of the box api or everything is custom build in this regard. Were did the business logic go into?
Hi, I have no personal experience with flash and I don't know how flash handles db connections. I wonder if flash could use the db connections from the app server, as long as you are dealing in the Java world (JSPs etc) there are ways to access the connection pool the app server provides, but flash may be a different story.
