Custom Button on Request Form – PPM 9.1 SP2

All,

I’m trying to get this button to work on closed requests. Works perfect otherwise.

I’ve added a new field to one of our Request Header Types using the Text Area - 400 Component Type and set the field property to ‘Display Only’.

I created an ‘On Page Load’ Rule Event, using SQL with the following:

select

'<!--HTML--> <input type="button" value="Create Request" onclick="window.open(''[AS.BASE_URL]/web/knta/crt/RequestCreateList.jsp'')" />',

'<!--HTML--> <input type="button" value="Create Request" onclick="window.open(''[AS.BASE_URL]/web/knta/crt/RequestCreateList.jsp'')" />'

from dual

This button works perfect when the request is still in an open status, but fails to work when the request is closed.

Does anyone know if this is the expected behavior?

Thanks

Re: Custom Button on Request Form – PPM 9.1 SP2

Hi Kintanadan,

yep, you got it. Rules don't get processed on closed requests, therefore there is no action on that button. The other status that this applies to is 'cancelled'. You can inform yourself about an ER that was logged to have that changed (closed, no plans to implement) using QCCR1L27513, which you can reach via

http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/FID/DOCUMENTUM_QCCR1L27513.

Not the answer you wanted to hear I guess, but it's what I know, sorry.

Best regards,

Dirk

Hey, Dirk,

I'll give you 1 kudo for pointing out the ER, even though the status of the ER is closed-no change :)

cheers
