Copying all the Rules from one Request Type to another.

Hi,
I am having 100 Rules for a Request Type(RT) I want to copy these 100 rules to another Request Type, Any easy way of doing this?

Like 'Copy from..' option of creating Fields in RT or RHT. Please let me know if there is any easy way.

Thanks in Advance.

Re: Copying all the Rules from one Request Type to another.

Mahendran,

Since you want to copy the rules within Request Type, I am assuming that you know that these rules would be field specific and they need to have same token on each field to work exactly same way. In case the requirement that you specified, looks to me that instead of having the rules copied, you can copy the entire request type and make changes to request type to what differs,

I would see that as better approach instead of copying 100 rules. I am not sure if you can copy a Rule from one RT to another.

Thanks!

Copying the RT may not workout. Thank you.

May not be the easiest way - but if you are comfortable with PL/SQL - you can write a procedure/function and update your second RT with information stored in the database tables.
