Converting a Portlet to a Report

Hi there.

Does anyone have any experience converting an expensive portlet into a report?

I have the sql statement for the portlet. It is very simple. I'd just like to create a simple report type that can execute the code. But it looks to take a lot of work.

I am using 7.5 SP6

Whether you want it as a JSP Report or a PL/SQL Report.

If JSP Report please modify the copy of any existing portlet.

If PL/SQL Report, Place your SQL inside a PL/SQL Procedure and call the Procedure with the help of command.

Re: Converting a Portlet to a Report

Hello Hilary,
to create a report you can either create an own jsp report by copying an existing one or you cando it the way the "license usage report" is designed.
It always involves some report development as long as you don't use additional report tools like BIRT, JasperReports, Cognos, Business Obejects etc.
Another way would be to run the sql from Excel against the DB... but I have never said that aloud!
