Configure a request type to send notifications based on field contents.

Hi,

I'm trying to configure a request type to send a notification based on the content of a field.

The steps I have followed are:

- Open the workbench
- Select the Request Type
- Access to Notifications tab
- Open the Auto-complete field "Field"

I have searched the field that I want to select as trigger to send the notification but I can't find it!!!

How can I do to configure this field in the way that depending on his value, the tool could send a notification or not?

Thanks in advance and regards!

Esteri,

Unfortunatley,  I think not all fields are enabled for notifications. But there are workarounds. When the intended field value changes, we use a rule to trigger a change to one of the fields that does have that option which in turn can be configured to send your desired notification. May be you can use one of the fields that you know you will never use. You might want to give it a try.

Thanks.

Hi Esteri,

Maybe, it doesn't show there beacuse of the field described in Request Header Type.

Think about  how it works in back end, there are triggers written on request table and check if there is any change in these fields and then notification is fired.That's why only OOB fields can be configured.

The easiest workaround is to write a dependency rule to change the value of one of the OOB fields on which notifications to be fired.

//Add this to "OnDomLoad" event
