Changing Periods for a Budget

what is the impact of the radio button for 'Discard information outside new planning period' and 'Shift information to align with new finish period' do? I do not see this in the user guides

Re: Changing Periods for a Budget

Good Day!
I you enter new finish perion and use "Shift" mode then all you cost shift to new perionds.
For example:
you have jan2010 and feb2010 and have cost:
-jan2010=5000$
-feb2010=5000$
then you set new finish date for exanmple marsh2010 and check "shift" then result following:
-jan2010=0$
-feb2010=5000$
-marsh2010=5000$

if you set new finish date for exanmple marsh2010 and check "Discard" then result:
-jan2010=5000$
-feb2010=5000$
-marsh2010=0$
Good Luck and Happy New Year!!!
