Changing Defaults on searches

I am battling to see if this is possible.

When you click on 'Search Request' and select a request type and then click on 'Advanced search' - you get a certain set of predefined columns as standard - is there anyway to change the default columns.

I know this seems odd, but when a PM clicks on 'Show full list' for Risk/Issues, they are taken to an advanced search page and if i can change the default columns I can save them the time of amending the search each time they want to pull the info out.

Thanks!

Re: Changing Defaults on searches

Hi Ryan,

Yes, you can change this. Open one of the request types up in the workbench, and look at the 'Display Columns' tab.

Re: Changing Defaults on searches

Hi Eric

I've tried as you've suggested but it doesnt seem to filter into the search requests defaults - is there some form of replication issue which would cause this, or is PPM just not behaving as it should do.

I've attached a screenshot of the Risk Display settings and what the defaults then show to make sure I'm doing the right thing.

Thanks!

Re: Changing Defaults on searches

Ryan,
This should work, Please see what HP Document tells about this.

"In request portlets, this setting represents the default columns that are
displayed in the portlet. The user can select to display alternate columns when
personalizing the portlet.

Similarly this setting represents the default columns that are displayed when
using the advanced search functionality in the Request List portlet or Request
Search Results page."
