Change request type and workflow through execution step
has somebody a solution or even experiences in changing the request type and workflow with an execution step? The user is only able to create requests with a standardized request type and after the prequalification somebody else should change the request type and workflow to a more detailed level. So we want to give him several workflow action to decide the request type and set it with an execution step. Is there any other standard way of doing this, except give them the right to change the request type. Runing some update statement should be the last option.
Re: Change request type and workflow through execution step
Hallo Michael, I could imagine two ways to solve this. 1. at the end of the first workflow have a step that creates a new requests (create_request wf-event) with a new workflow as a followup. We have done so in the past. 2. Let someone decide two change the request type in the middle of the workflow and than have a fork execution step that brings the request into special workflow branches (one per RT). Haven't done so myself yet, but would have the advantage that the request will contain the full history at the end.
