Can you make the Built-in Workflow Event for create_request to be Immediate

I saw that the option of Immediate does not apepar with a execution step where

Exeuction Type = Built-in Workflow Event

Workflow Event = create_request

Since the name of the request type is given in the step property, can you automate this step?

The Create Request execution allows the user to select which Request Type is going to be created thereby preventing the Immediate option.  However, the Copy Request functionality allows you to specify exactly which Request Type is to be created and can be set to Immediate.  I've done this for several clients that want to spawn a child request during the processing of a parent request.

Jason,

Thanks for your reply.

I am getting an error with one such specific execution step, where both the originating request type and child request type uses PFM-Proposal field group.

Following is the error,

Beginning command: KSC Copy Request

Running PL/SQL procedure KCRT_REQUEST_UTIL.COPY_REQUEST
Summary of parameters:
 FROM_REQUEST_ID=65205
 REQUEST_TYPE_ID=30780
 WORKFLOW_ID=32053
 COPY_FIELDS=Y
 COPY_NOTES=N
 CREATE_REFERENCE=Y
 REF_RELATIONSHIP_ID=15
 STATUS_NAME=
 SUBMIT=Y
 PROCESS_RULE=N
 USER_ID=34030
 VALIDATION_NAME=
Exception occured during execution: KCRT_REQUEST_UTIL-ORA-00904: "PROP_PORTFOLIO_NAME": invalid identifier

Re: Can you make the Built-in Workflow Event for create_request to be Immediate

That Oracle error would indicate that it's trying to reference a column name that doesn't exist.  However, that column does exist in the KCRT_FG_PFM_PROPOSAL table.  Have you double checked that each Request Type is using the proper Request Header Type and that each RHT has the Proposal Field Groups added?  Could you also post the ksc_copy_request command as you have it in your Command Step?
