CLM Schema password changed

Hi All,

We have PPM and ERP integration in place. Recently ERP dba team has changed the CLM schema password due to security issues. After the password change all AOL objects are failing during deployment.

Any clues, is there any place in PPM server.conf file or on CLM database tables / .rdf files we need to change the same password? Appreciate any clues on this issue.

As per HP's recommendation we have done the below steps but no luck.

  1. Changing the password in the OM side in the Oracle Applications instance where you have installed Object*Migrator,
  2. Navigate to Security -> ORACLE -> Register.
  3. Query the schema name where you have installed Object*Migrator (usually CLM) and re-enter the password.
  4. After entering the new password you should bounce the concurrent manager and try your migration again. But you should run Maintain Object Migrator views concurrent request to make sure it all works.

We have even tried with the below steps but no luck.

  • Drop and re-create the DB Links under CLM schema
  • Update the CLM_DATABASES and CLM_DB_LINKS value sets with the DB Links again.
  • Submit  Maintain Object*Migrator Views program – this again error out with same error as mentioned before.

Regards,

Manas

Re: CLM Schema password changed

Hi Manas,

Could you try reset CLM schema password to old password and try again ?

May be something wrong with your password.

Thanks.

Have any special characters in your password  ?

Could you show it for me ?

Thanks.

Re: CLM Schema password changed

No we do not have any special characters in our CLM schema password. only alpha numeric and numeric characters present in the password.

Re: CLM Schema password changed

Hi Manas,

Previously, I thought someone had posted, Oracle Patch 16946854 an Oracle EBS patch, fixed this issue.

Re: CLM Schema password changed

I think we provide the CLM password when we run CLM_INSTALL script. If you are having the issue on DEV/TEST server then you can try running this script. It asks for CLM and APPS username and password and there you can provide the updated password.
PPM would then again integrate APPS with CLM.
