Automating Tasks in Linux

Hi,

I want to run scheduled tasks in Linux. Want to automate the execution of kRunCacheMangager.sh to run 3 times a day.The server is Linux.

How to go about it?
Do I have to use the crontab command?

I am not sure how to acheive this from server side. but from report side you can try to implement this.

I think the best way is to use crontab, at the server side.

Hi,

Can you give examples of using crontab for kRunCacheManager.sh?

Re: Automating Tasks in Linux

1.- Login to your linux box with PPM user
2.- $ crontab -e
3.- add the next line:

30 18 * * * sh /bin/kRunCacheManager.sh A

This will run daily at 18:30 hours. Change it with your needs.
