Ability for PPM to enforce line 1 goes before line 2 when deploying packages.

Hello!

We are using PPM Version 9.14 and trying to make the packages we deploy wait on higher numbered lines. We would like to be able to tell line 1 to deploy but have line 2 of the package wait until line one has deployed be fore it tries to deploy.

Out PPM admin says this is not possible but I really think that this would be something we can setup etc.

Thank you for any responses!!!

If you select multiple lines and submit them at the same time, they will be executed in order. Other than that, you would need to build your own control process into the commands executed by the package line.

just to add to Jim's points ,

PPM has OOB Condition execution steps called FIRST LINE, LAST LINE .

We use the FIRST LINE to handle quite a few workflow logics on our package side.

FIRST LINE condition step result will be YES for the first line while it will be NO for all others. That should allow PPM Admins to configure Various logics as necessary.

Thanks.
