TRIM 7.1.1, Office Integration and third party applications

Has anyone else upgraded to TRIM 7.11 build 1821 and found that TRIM muscles in when a third party application calls an Office instance?
For example: When a user wants to add extra information in SAP (finance system) and SAP calls a Word instance, they now get the option to save the document to TRIM  (This didn’t occur with TRIM 6.2.4).  We actually don’t want the document in TRIM , we want it in SAP. If anyone has worked out how to turn it off without deactivating the end users Office integration with TRIM, I would be very interested to know.

Re: TRIM 7.1.1, Office Integration and third party applications

This was corrected in 1828:

43549 The HPTRIM Word Add-in does not allow for clients, who have written their own Word Add-in, to have control of the current open document when performing specific events such as 'Save', 'Save As' or 'Close'
Fixed. To allow for a 3rd-party Word Add-In to control the processing performed around the currently active document, the HP TRIM Word Add-in now tests for a specific YES/NO document property, called "HPTRIM_Ignore".  If this property exists on the active document and is set to YES, then the HP TRIM Word Add-in will not perform any processing on the current document except opening it. This means that the 3rd-party Word Add-in is now solely responsible for processing this document.

Yep, we have provided a property in the Word integration that allows other add-ins and 3rd party apps to ignore the TRIM save event.

It will require your 3rd party tool/integration to add some extra code to manage this.
