Re: Monitoring DNS with HP Openview NNM

Depends, if its an appliance like InfoBlox its painless, if its just a process running on a server then an OVO agent is a better resource.

Have a nice day :)

Re: Monitoring DNS with HP Openview NNM

thanks
But let me see if I understood

I suggest that instead of using HP NNM best use HP OVO?

if so, please give me a detailed answer on how serious the procedure as I have no practical experience in the use of HP OpenView

Re: Monitoring DNS with HP Openview NNM

OVO  agents are better suited for monitoring processes that do not have SNMP support built into them.  Its application monitoring verses hardware monitoring.
