We are testing an ASP .NET Ajax application using LoadRunner 9.5. Scripting is performed with IE7 as of now, but the client is considering an option to make the app compatible with IE8 as well.
Not able to get a recording done with LR9.5- IE8. Browser window never gets launched during recording.
Would be great if anyone share your thoughts on the following questions
(i) Do we know if LR9.5 can be used to record IE8 browser actions with any available patches? (ii) In most cases, IE8 will be opening 6 connections per host and only up from 2 in IE7. So Can LR9.5 emulate that behavior correctly if we record using IE7?
Thanks, Raja Periannan

I have enetered this very question to HP support and was told Loadrunner 9.52 does not support IE8 nor Windows 7. R&D is working the issue but no roadmap/timeline from R&D has been given for when support will occur.
We are Testing Java/J2ee web applications in LR 9.5 using Web(HTTP/HTML) and Web (Click and Script) protocols. We did the scripting using IE7 and all the scripts were tested successfully in Controller.
Now the cleint wants to switch to IE8. My Question is:
1. Is LR 9.5 compatible with IE8 2. Does all the scripts done using IE7 require rescripting while we change in IE8
