I am facing APPCRASH error when trying to record in Loadrunner 12 (Flex Protocol)

Can you please give us more details about this issue. What is the application you are trying to record?
Is it 32 or 64 bit one. Please note that Flex protocol does not support 64 bit recording.
Are you recording the application for the first time?
If you were able to record the application before, is there any difference in the application or in your environment?
Will the issue appear if you disable data execution prevention, user account control and antivirus software running on the VuGen machine.
Were you able to record the application using LoadRunner 12 or a lower version?
Is it possible that the application you are using is updated with some patches?
Please ask you system administrators to disable Data Execution Prevention (DEP) feature http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/KM747283
and User Account Control - KM00598473 in order to check if they could be causing the crash.
Additionally could you please check if third party applications may be interfering with the proper operation of VuGen while recording a business process using the instructions in the following KM: http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/KM00690370
