SecOps is the goal to link security and IT operations together, thereby enabling operational visibility across the ENTIRE IT environment - including security incidents. HP’s SecOps solution of integrating ArcSight with BSM is breaking down organizational silos between the security and operations. This increased visibility of security events into the Operations Bridge provides better collaboration between the SOC and the NOC to find and resolve issues quicker.
On June 4, the Monday before HP Discover starts, we will be conducting a Special Interest Group (SIG) for customers to explore and formulate ideas with HP that will help define new opportunities for the linkages and inter-dependencies between the Security Operations Center (the SOC) and traditional IT Operations (the NOC - Network Operations Center or Operations Bridge). This new SIG will be at the forefront of helping shape future product ideas and directions.
The forum is designed to discuss and understand trends and customer use cases at the intersections of Security and IT Operations. We will look at the requirements and opportunities to share log file information, security events, IT events and unified searching between the ArcSight EV, Logger, and ESM products and the HP BSM products such as Operations Manager, Operations Manager i, Application Performance Management and Network Management, as well as UCMDB.
