Guest post by Kara McMillan, HP Storage Essentials Product Manager
Join me in a panel discussion on challenges and solutions in large storage environments at HP Discover Dec 2-4 in Barcelona. As the Product Manager for HP Storage Essentials I will lead the panel which also includes Philip Sellers, Senior Systems Administrator, Horry Telephone Cooperative and Inge De Maere, Functional Architect for HP Storage Essentials. This session covers:
The challenges of the customer
The usage of Storage Essentials in their environment
We will also discuss the rapid pace of change and recent innovations in the storage market. The panel will take business and technical questions from the audience on usage, benefits, and drawbacks.
We will also be covering our current release, Storage Essentials 9.70. We are also announcing the details around a rollup patch build that includes support for new items.
This session, and others like it are aimed at storage administrators, IT admins, directors and managers as well as VP IT who are responsible for storage in their organization.
Attendees will take away an understanding of common customer issues and how to resolve them. They will have a good understanding of what Storage Essentials does, and what it can do for them in their environment. They’ll also learn how they can save money and capture a Return on Investment (ROI) from Storage Essentials by recapturing storage capacity in their environment. This power allows users to delay further purchases of storage hardware. They will understand the additional value of Storage Essentials in conjunction with other BSM products, such as Operations Manager, OMi or UCMDB to integrate their wider IT environment.
Our goal is to have attendees take away that Storage Essentials really does reach across, not only physical hardware, but also virtual storage. It provides a centralized management station for analyzing data, reporting on data, and reduces the need for a number of point tools.
