In Part 1 of this series we learned to create an OO flow for new user creation. Now, let’s deploy and test our flow using HP OO Studio. HP OO studio is the authoring and deployment tool in HP OO.

As a first step, invoke HP OO Studio and import the project.

After importing, create “UserCreation” flow from the imported operations by dragging the CreateSecurityAsset and CreateUser operations into the flow.

Double Click on the CreateSecurityAsset operation to open Step Inspector panel. The values for inputs can be either hardcoded or select to prompt for while running the flow. Required inputs have an asterisk. You can usually ignore inputs that are not required. Below is the screenshot for reference.

In the Results Tab from the CreateSecurityAsset operation Step Inspector panel add the result field and capture the SecurityAsset value in the variable. Example “SecAssID”.

Assign the captured value to the Createuser.SecurityAsset input variable in the inputs tab from the CreateUser Step Inspector panel.

Click “Save” icon shown in the below screen to save the flow.

To Run the flow in Studio, click the “Debug” icon shown in the below screen.

Then click the “Play” button to execute the flow.

Results are shown in the debug windows after flow execution completed.

What you have achieved so far is a HP OO flow to create a new user in SHR. This can be integrated into pretty much any tool that can launch OO flows.
