TRIM 7.0.1 Crashing for Newly Saved Templates

On a test machine (Environment Details @ bottom), testing TRIM 7.0.1

 

Has anyone experienced the same, or have any ideas on this one please?

 

After going through the following sequence, TRIM crashes.

 

Maximum CPU & Memory Usage over this time is 70% so it would appear to be a TRIM / Operating Environment issue, not a system resource issue.

 

1. Add New Template

2. Add Activity (only given a title)

3. Save Template

4. Open Saved Template

5. Attempt to add new Activity or save the existing Template..

6. ** Crash ** "HP TRIM has stopped working" with the following problem

 

Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
  Application Name: TRIM.exe
  Application Version: 7.0.1.1486
  Application Timestamp: 4c202498
  Fault Module Name: tsjBob.dll
  Fault Module Version: 7.0.1.1486
  Fault Module Timestamp: 4c202305

  Exception Offset: 0000d5a5

Environment Details (all installed on single test system)

  • Server: Windows 2008 R2  (as a VM) (ie. 64 bit)
  • Database: SQL Express 2008 R2 64 bit
  • TRIM 7.0.1 Server 32 bit
  • TRIM 7.0.1 Client 32 bit

Hi Kim,

 

I tried the same steps using TRIM 7.0.1.1499 and couldn't get it to crash. My test client OS is Windows 7 32-bit. What client OS were you using?

From your environment details I wasn't quite sure - are you running the 32-bit TRIM client on a 64-bit Windows 2008 server? If so, not a supported client OS, so that may be the cause of your crashes. From TRIM7.0.1_Spec.pdf for 7.0.1.1486, supported OS for client are:

 

Windows XP Service Pack 3

Windows Vista SP1 (32-bit or 64-bit)

Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit)

Hi Neil,

 

Thanks for your response.  The OS being used is Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 Build 2600
