Hi,

To restart the DP service:-
/sbin/init.d/omni stop
/sbin/init.d/omni start

Re: dp service restart in hpux

There is no omnisv on unix client.

The omni service "inet" is running under the inetd super server.

if you say that you need a restart for this service then you need to run inetd -c.

Re: dp service restart in hpux

What Farhan noted should work.

you might also look in /opt/omni/sbin for omnsv. if found, then

/opt/omni/sbin/omnisv -stop
/opt/omni/sbin/omnisv -start

should work... or you can look at the contents of /sbin/init.d/omni and see what it does.

They exist only on UNIX cell managers, not on UNIX clients.

Re: dp service restart in hpux

you should restart inetd service. This is the equivalent to "restart" DP services.

I use the graphical interface dp

-> Clients -> hostname -> right click "upgrade" this option restart the agent on the client.
