Linux Client <> Windows CM <> Linux IS problem: SSH [Warning]

So I been  trying to install per CM on the Linux host - I am getting the above error, I did however enable the SSH and encryption in the corresponding omnirc files. Also setup the key/pair auth & all fqdn are working as expected.

Setup:

Windows CM is on the same domain as the Linux IS

the Client is the only one outside that domain.
They can reach each other over ip and fqdn.

Telnet 5555 works on IS and CM.

Error CM:

[Warning] Could not use secure shell protocol, instead using rexec and rcp commands...

Trying "ob2install" directly from the Linux IS:

./ob2install -server itsdpma01.its.local -input heshbec
Sending installation data to binary master on itsdpma01.its.local

Trying the forumpost on zcat doesn't work:

zcat packet.Z > /tmp/OB2-CORE-A.06.11-1.x86_64.rpm
gzip: packet.Z: not in gzip format

Solution: ???

Any help would be greately appreciated!

file packet.Z should tell you what format it is in.

Re: Linux Client <> Windows CM <> Linux IS problem: SSH [Warning]

packet.Z: RPM v3 bin i386 OB2-CORE-A.07.00-1

So it is already a RPM file? I should be able to install directly with this - shouldn't I ? Simply renaming it?

Re: Linux Client <> Windows CM <> Linux IS problem: SSH [Warning]

hello,

in our case problem was with enabled OB2_ENCRYPT_PVT_KEY =1 in .omnirc file at linux IS (which means encrypted prived key, generally not common). After disabling this and restarting xinetd remote linux DB agent instalation works great.
