Im having a problem with trying to take backup of my SQL server 2012, running on a windows 2008 R2 server.
I can install the disk client and the SQL client package from my Manager console without problems.
I can create the job, and browse the SQL server and select all the databases there without any problems aswell.
There is nothing in the debug.log that indicates what is wrong, but the job fails all the time, with the error
"Error has occurred while opening database 'xxxxxx'. Check if the database exists on the server."
The backup users has full sysadmin access to the server and the SQL server.
Its only a problem with SQL 2012, as we have multiple sql 2008 servers that works just fine.
Running version A.07.00 Build 100
Any ideas why it keep failing?

Under which user is running DP inet service into SQl server? This is user must be SQl admin.
Please uploaded debug.log file from SQL server
hmms, maybe thats why, its running on local system account.
and you are right, that is the reason why.
very strange, because this same server had sql 2008 running 2 weeks ago, and had no problems with that
stupid me, never checked that one:)
Always is better run DP inet under SQL admin user. Welcome
