Urgent - Doing the upgrade from HP RM 8.1 to HPE RM8.3 Patch 2, issue with sending the offline recor

Hi, Anyone online in these hours? 9 PM in Western Australia.

Doing the upgrade from 8.1 to 8.3 .

OK, issue we found regarding the sending the documents from offline records to be a new revision of an existing docuemnt...  this error popping up saying that no document store has been defined for the record type corporate document

Check that the stores are set up in the document stores options under admin options

Also, make sure that the global store is set up in the Enterprise studio and check that the service account has read \ write permissions

All stores are set up (under the Admin options) , also in TES , and service account do have a read/write permission, and it still doeas not work.... The normal drag and drop works OK, and normal document savings work OK, only this one from Offline Records gives us this message .....

The schema:

Active , Schema is up to date (number)

The other question is about the lookup sets ... (not related to this update but)

In one lookup set that users used for 5 years we changed the name of of the lookup items there 4 month ago. Now the search can only find the records with that newly named lookup item, but not the records with a same field that was called differently before we changed it ..if you know what i mean... Also, the previous name for that lookup item does not exist in the list of lookup items off course....

Then when we search for the records made (before the date when we changed the name of the lookup item) that we know that they have some values under that field, they show up (when we setup the column) to display that lookup item .... They show up under the same name...

Basically, user now must do 2 different searches in order to get records that have these values no matter how they have been called / named before...

Is there a way to "fix" this so that users can do just one search and find the records with this values regardless of how the lookup items named?

Try checking if the store belongs to the general document storage pool.

See store properties

Well, that option is ticked OK as well, ...

I am pointing again, this record type is set up OK for the store, and it is all set up properly from anywhere, except from the Offline Records;

 Somehow, Offline Records area is not "recognising" these settings and consider this record type not configured for the trim store somehow .... Not sure where the issue is comming from ... for Admins, and all other users ....

Also, another issue discovered just now .... users are reporting this issue when registering emails to HPE RM8.3 environment (system options are now set to use EML format as we had in HP RM 8.1, although we saw that initially it was set to MSG during the checks )

This issue with email formats is happening only when user DRAG/DROP email to HPE RM

might be a good idea to post these in new threads so they are easier to follow.

- docstore, were users offline records upgraded or did you create any new. If not try a user with a new offline records setup

- drag and drop email - seems like the message has all you need. If you want the title to be modified from drag and drop then you will need to change the format captured from EML to MSG

- docstore, were users offline records upgraded or did you create any new. If not try a user with a new offline records setup - Tried the creationof  new Offline Records (CUT/Paste somewhere, closing TRIM, re-opening it), no success, the same message pops up in any case.

If you want the title to be modified from drag and drop then you will need to change the format captured from EML to MSG - Good point, user is trying to change the title of the e-mail, as part of their job; I am not sure if we need to change the system options back to MSG ... OK, search wise confusion: so far we have VMBX's , MSG till HP RM 8.1 when we have EML.. now days with HPE RM8.3 we have MSG by default that we changed to EML ... So , either we have to live with this issue or really change it back to MSG . which will stuff up the searches related to different email types...
