TRIM Error - Drag and Drop Doc

Hi Folks,

Am receiving the attached Workgroup Server error when attempting to drag and drop a doc to a file. Why might this be so?

Re: TRIM Error - Drag and Drop Doc

possibly something to do with your document store and server?? At a guess. Have you asked IT?

Re: TRIM Error - Drag and Drop Doc

What build of TRIM are you using?

This error means that TRIM is trying to overwrite an existing file in the document store, which is BAD!

There was an issue in 6.2.0 and 6.2.1 as well I think that caused this.

Re: TRIM Error - Drag and Drop Doc

6.24 1240

If I select Cancel and then OK (to reattempt catalogue), then I receive another error (see attached). If  I select cancel again and then OK, a Doc is created, but the doc is not attached.

Our IT dept have not been much help - any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: TRIM Error - Drag and Drop Doc

What's the exact filename of the document that you are dragging and dropping into TRIM?

Re: TRIM Error - Drag and Drop Doc

I suggest you try running a Document Store Integrity Check.

Goto: Tools > Context Admin > Document Stores > select your store > Integrity Check.

Keep the log files and see how it goes, if it's still a problem, log a job with HP.

Re: TRIM Error - Drag and Drop Doc

Have run Integrity Check - no problems. Now logged with HP.

Thanks for suggestions (and quick responses)

Re: TRIM Error - Drag and Drop Doc

I'm wondering if you are possibly dragging and dropping a file that was checked out from TRIM? That's just a guess, so other than that, submitting a support request is probably in order.

Re: TRIM Error - Drag and Drop Doc

He should still never get a store error trying to overwrite an existing file.

agree on the "should" :smileywink:  but one never knows....  All in all you're correct though.

Maybe someone's been mucking around with your store setup. The path shown in your screen shot looks like a training document store. I wonder if you've somehow ended up with production pointing at training...?

Re: TRIM Error - Drag and Drop Doc

Or maybe someone restored the training database from a backup bit didn't "roll back" the training document store to the same point in time...

5 Stars to Neil - TRAIN was restored, but Doc Store not rolled back.

Thanks you all for your input.
