You would just add in the value of the search you wish to populate the list - eg;
"1"="Title Word~~Tip : Type words separated by spaces. Use '*' for wildcard searching.~~14"
"2"="Any Word~~Tip : Search TITLE and NOTES.~~48"
However this regsiry hive is no longer recongised in HPRM 8.2. Does anyone have any suggestions on if you need to use a different Registy Hive Location or if it is even still possible to set default searches to appear in this list?
Re: Setting Default values in the "Search By" bar via registry.
This would be really useful in RM8. The "Search By" toolbar was introduced as the super-simple search option for beginning users. This was great in Trim7 because you could setup a list of useful search fields in the history drop-down & deploy it to users.
In RM8 the beginner users needs to master the "Quick-Select" button, which is a bit of a conceptual leap. Until they master it they can only search 3 fields from the "Search By' toolbar.
Quick-select is great for CTRL+F searches because you're dealing with a slightly more sophisticated user. But the beginners need that helping hand.
