Impersonating other users

I have given myself the ability to impersonate other users, but I dont know how to activate it... :smileysad:

Could I use this functionality to create alerts for the users I impersonate?

Thanks,

Re: Impersonating other users

Impersonate?

a) Are you referring to the HP TRIM Product? and

b) Do you mean you're a Delegate of another user?

Re: Impersonating other users

Yep TRIM.

Specifically if my User category is 'Custom User', I can have permissions to 'Can Impersonate Another User'

(I'll attach the image if the screen shot doesn't work here)

If I could impersonate one of my users it might have a few advantages.

Re: Impersonating other users

I understand what you want to do, but this permission isn't intended for that purpose.

You wont be able to 'log in' as another user or use TRIM as if you were someone else, this is purely a permission for very specific back-end functionality.

It is not enabled on any default permission level and is only really used with the SDK in situations where Windows Authentication is not directly available for that user.

Looks like I was barking up the wrong tree. Thanks for your help.
