HP Trim Add-In For Microsoft Office- Inactive

We are using Trim 7.1.2.2017 and Microsoft Word 2010.

For one user, the HP Trim Add-in for Microsoft Office is listed under Inactive Application add-ins  in Microsoft Word.

I attempted to activate the Trim add-in, but it would not take.

All integration boxes are checked in Trim.

Does anyone know what the problem is and how I can correct it so that the Trim Add-in is made active and the

user can save her document in Trim via Microsoft Word.

Thanks.

Re: HP Trim Add-In For Microsoft Office- Inactive

This usually happens when it couldn't load one time (maybe TRIM was down, user was impatient, etc).  User might have been prompted if they wanted to disable the add-in or it just did it automatically.  Remove the add-in completely (from the COM Add-in menu within Word or from the registry) and then use TRIM to re-add it.

I find it easier to just remove the registry key and then use TRIM to re-add it.  This is the key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addin\HPTRIMOfficeAddin.Connect

NOTE that key is for 7.34.  It might be named slightly different in your version.

Erik,

    Thanks.   That works.
