Error: File format doesn't match file extension

Hi All,

We've discovered one of our documents is problematic, whether we edit, view, supercopy; we keep getting the attached error message.
I've never come across this error before and am a little lost as to what to do about it.

I'll point out that this was a finalised document when the error was disovered, I've reversed that to see if it would help - it did not.

What should I do?

Re: Error: File format doesn't match file extension

I have seen this sort of message where word was set to save by default in the older 97-2003 one (the extension ends in .doc) but the file got saved in Trim with the newer 2007+ extension ending in .docx

if you have supercopied the document out, and its extension is docx rename it to have a doc extension and then try and open it in word. If that works put it in back in to TRIM.
