Edit vs View Behaviour

Good morning all.

Just a quick question and i apologise if this has been asked before. When a document is opened to view, its dropped into offline records in a format that looks to be "%Record Number% - %Title%" however when a document is opened to edit its exported as just "%Title%".

Is there any way to make both view and edit behave the same way?

Re: Edit vs View Behaviour

Viewing doesn't put anything in Offline Records, only Edit does.

Can you show a screenshot of how you are 'Viewing' a document from TRIM and it's ending up in Offline Records?

Re: Edit vs View Behaviour

I do apologise you are quite correct, we folder redirect edited documents to a users home drive but view is going into a temp folder in the users local profile.

This wasnt the behaviour i was questioning. It was more the naming convention applied to the document. Can they be made the same.

Re: Edit vs View Behaviour

If you mean can you have the file name appear differently (or consistently), the answer is no.

The naming convention is hard coded. :)
