I am trying to understand the purpose of the default document store.
I know that if an image is attached to a location, the image goes into the default store.
What objects, other than records, go into the default store?
Also is there a way to redirect where these objects go instead of the default record store?

You can change which objects go into which store by modifying a store and going to the usage tab.
These objects can have electronic items placed in a store:
Agenda Item Types
Minute Item Types
Origin Configuration File
I see where I can make the changes.
