setting partitions

Is it possible to set partitions before the image is deployed? If I modify the .PAR file of the image files that are uploaded to the server prior to publishing the image to the DB could this create partitions on the device when it is deployed?

Re: setting partitions

Hi,

There is no need of modifying the par file. You can attach a partation out side the image, just attach a new partation to the role in RMP.

Thanks

Re: setting partitions

And you can also use the sysprep cmd - extendoempartition - if you want to change the size of the system partition.

You should not be modifying the .PAR file in the image.

Re: setting partitions

this is not enterprise so I have no management portal (RMP).
I'll try modifying the extendoempartiton setting and see how it works.

Re: setting partitions

yes modifying the extendoempartiton parameter let's me set how much I want the partition to extend. i.e. image+extendoempartiton - so if my image is 1.5 GB and extendoempartiton is 5 GB, then my hard will fill up 6.5 GB with the rest of the space being unallocated.

Thanks for your help!
