install.ini file

I was reading a thread where the command NVDSHORTCUT=N was used in the ini file to remove the desktop shortcut. I was interested to know if there is a document with statements that could be added to the install.ini file for other install adjustments. For intance I would like to remove the client from showing in the programs menu and also remove the install client from showing a popup box when installing. Have been looking through the forums and havent found much on this

thanks for any help... will keep the search going

Re: install.ini file

Not sure about omitting the shortcuts in the programs menu but suspect that the msi could be altered. You may have to run a post install script though?
As for silent install see page 53 of the Application Manager Guide.

Re: install.ini file

Perhaps NVDSTARTMENUICON on page 42?

Re: install.ini file

thanks Roy, I see you do alot of great work on here and I appreciate your time with this.

I am using openview CCM manual so I think I am seeing a different set of options to you.

I will hunt arount for the full versions manual and see if I can pull some extra stuff from it

thanks again for your help Roy
