Restrict access to Patch Administrator website

Hi all,

Any recommended approach to advise on how to restrict end-users to access Patch Administrator website (http://localhost:3466/patch/manage/admin.tsp) and change the configuration?

Thank you.

Re: Restrict access to Patch Administrator website

Hi Wee,

You need to edit the respective httpd.rc file & uncomment any one of the following sections based on your requirment. Also can be integrated with LDAP.

# Examples of Setting URL Security
# - Requiring access to website to have local NT account:
#SetAccess / "Webserver" NTLM
#
# - Requiring NTLM account and membership of a specific group
#SetAccess /util/ "Manager" NTLM/Group Administrators
#
# - Requiring authentication against an LDAP directory
# optional dn prefix and root to allow the user to enter only his
# user id and bind dn will be dynamically generated before bind.
#Auth/LDAP/prefix cn
#Auth/LDAP/root ou=qa,o=qa
#SetAccess /ldap "Policy" LDAP ldap_server_host

Re: Restrict access to Patch Administrator website

The access to Patch Admiistartor url was denied after configuring
"SetAccess /patch "" NTLM/Group Administrators" in the httpd.rc file.
