Radia Patch Manager Version 3.0 & Oracle 10g

Radia Version 4.2 has been installed.
We are in the process of deploying Radia Patch Manager Version 3.0 & Oracle 10g as the Backend database software.
Require the following input.
1) Will Radia Patch Manager Installation create the Oracle Database by default. if not, Is there any script to create Oracle Database for Radia Modules.

As with most Radia Products, the ODBC compliant database schema will be created if the database exists and the id accessing it via DSN has permission to do so.

Charan,

You must manually create the database within Oracle, and setup an account with create/owner privlages.

Once the blank database has been created, create an ODBC connection to it (requires the Oracle client software - not the microsoft odbc for Oracle). Install PatchManager and configure it to use the ODBC connection you setup. When you start the Patch Manager service the first time, it will create the database schema required automatically. When you do your first acquisition, Patch Manager will also perform a syncronization between the acquired patches and the Oracle backend, and will automatically create and add more data to the database.

hope this helps,
