OS Deployment Issue

hi all,

I have a problem regarding Os deployment feature of CCM. I have sucessfully created & published the image on CCM server. but when i try to deploy the image on client machine, it gives following error in linux environment :-

"Firing OSSelect{} in OVCM OS Manager Agent

osselect:GETROMServer failed to get or connect to OVCM OS Manager Server host:port

osselect: will wait, then try one more time
GetROMSServer failed again. Rebooting.

Can't read "::activepar":no such variable

while executing

"common:: Unmount $:: activepar"
(file "roma.tkd/main.tcl" line 1)

******* see logs in /log directory
"

note:- I have dhcp server leasing IP sucessfully to client machine & no firewall installed & configured on server & client.

Pls help..

Re: OS Deployment Issue

This posting implies there may be a name resolution or port restriction issue as the client can't find or connect to the OS Manager server.

Re: OS Deployment Issue

Hello,

Are you using PXE for deployment? or LSB?

if your using PXE, did you change the HOST and PORT parameters?

From the error messagge you post seems that the problem is that there is no server/port configuration.

im not sure if using LSB you must configure these values somewhere...

""""""""
Firing OSSelect{} in OVCM OS Manager Agent

osselect:GETROMServer failed to get or connect to OVCM OS Manager Server HOST:PORT (IT SHOULD BE SERVERNAME:3469)
"""""""

please excuse me if I wasent clear.

Re: OS Deployment Issue

Hi,

Check if the RMP & ROM is reachable from the client, Check if RMP is functional..Its the RMP that is the Issue.

Thanks
