Re: Inventory Information

OVCCM is a pre-configured environment and not intended to be customized.
If you want/need customizations I suggest you upgrade to OVCM.

Re: Inventory Information

As an aside, I suppose you could put triggers on your ODBC database table/columns that your interested in.

Re: Inventory Information

Try something along the lines of:

DECLARE
datestamp DATE;
message VARCHAR2(255);
BEGIN
IF UPDATING ('MEMORY') THEN
IF :NEW.memory <> :OLD.memory THEN
message := :OLD.device_id||' - Memory has changed from '||:OLD.memory||' to '||:NEW.memory||'. Please check...';
sendmail('FromUSER','ToAddress','Memory Change!!!',message);
datestamp := SYSDATE;
INSERT INTO device_memchange
VALUES (:OLD.device_id,
datestamp,
:OLD.memory,
:NEW.memory);
END IF;
END IF;
END;

Re: Inventory Information

Sorry should have put:

CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER "RADRIM"."DEVICECONFIG_MEMCHANGE"
BEFORE
UPDATE OF "MEMORY" ON "RADRIM"."DEVICECONFIG" FOR EACH ROW DECLARE
datestamp DATE;
message VARCHAR2(255);
BEGIN
IF UPDATING ('MEMORY') THEN
IF :NEW.memory <> :OLD.memory THEN
message := :OLD.device_id||' - Memory has changed from '||:OLD.memory||' to '||:NEW.memory||'. Please check...';
sendmail('FROM','TO_EMAIL_ADDRESS','Memory Change!!!',message);
datestamp := SYSDATE;
INSERT INTO device_memchange
VALUES (:OLD.device_id,
datestamp,
:OLD.memory,
:NEW.memory);
END IF;
END IF;
END;
