Importing from Active Directory

Here's the problem, I'm trying to import a group of computers from an OU in Active Directory. I've tried the failing for the BaseDN, all of them have failed. Can anybody help me figure out what I'm doing wrong?

ou=My Desktops,dc=test,dc=com
ou="My Desktops",dc=test,dc=com

Re: Importing from Active Directory

Hi,

What tool are you using to export. Look at

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000serv/technologies/activedirectory/howto/bulkstep.mspx

or use any GUI tool to export

Re: Importing from Active Directory

I'm not using an external tool, I'm using the built-in utility in OVCCM. I don't want to have to manually export/import AD computers, I just want to setup an import job that does this on a weekly basis. I've since found that if I remove the space from "My Desktops" in AD, then it works just fine. So, my question is, is there any way to import an OU into CCM that has a space in it's name?

Re: Importing from Active Directory

Spaces in the name is a know issue.
I'd open a Support case on it.

Re: Importing from Active Directory

I've found out that there is a workaround for this, if you enclose the entire BaseDN in { } it'll work fine. So, if you want to use a BaseDN like this...

ou=My Desktops,dc=test,dc=com

You'd enter it as...

{ou=My Desktops,dc=test,dc=com}
//Add this to "OnDomLoad" event
