How to configure the agent reporting trough proxy server

Hi

I am using 5.1.1 HP CA, All of my agents are reporting directly to management server, now I have installed Proxy servers in some locations.

Now I need to any changes in agent configuration to change reporting trough proxy servers? If please help me with configuration.

Re: How to configure the agent reporting trough proxy server

Hi!

If you want your agents to connect to the proxies, the best approach is to enable COP and create some SAP instances. I suggest you to take a look at the "HP Configuration Management Application Manager and Application Self-service Manager for the Windows® operating systems Software Version: 5.10
Installation and Configuration Guide", chapter 5: Configuring Client Operations Profiles.

This guide is available in the installation media.

The same guide for the latest version (7.9) is available here:

I hope this helps!

Re: How to configure the agent reporting trough proxy server

Proxy servers serve resource data to Agents. The reporting data generated by an Agent must be sent to an RCS for it to be processed. From RCS, it can go through one or more messaging servers before being stored in an RDBMS for reporting.

So I believe proxy servers won't help here.
