You can remotely install Agents on a group of devices from the Console.

Installing the CA agent it different concept and Installing the software on the client machine is different concept.

In case of CA agent installation, low level it will start installing one-by-one.

In case of installing a software on the machine which already have installed agent then, Config Server will serve based on the based on the requests.

Kiran, can we not create an Agent install job that targets a group of machines? That would take care of the first requirement.

An administrator can assign multiple programs to client machines. All those programs would be installed when the client machine connects to the infrastructure or upon notify in one session. In that one session, one program would be installed at a time until all are complete.

Gowhar you are correct you can assign to the group of devices.
Once you assign the job for installing the agent on group of machines, low level it will trigger the installation one after another

Not sure about CAS, but in CAE it's also possible to install the agent from the client side rather than having to push it from the server. In this way you can have multiple clients all installing their agent at the same time (eg. during a client rollout/refresh).

Afterwards, when a client performs a connect to receive or validate it's assigned software, each of those packages is processed sequentially on that client, though you can have multiple clients performing a software connect at the same time.
