Please help as I am new to BAC.
While creating database for BAC do we need to create all separate database instances namely:
I am not getting as in installation guide it shows to give credentials for these. Please reply if anyone knows about this.
Go to Solution.
In the setup I am using it is the same admin credentials you use to logon to the DB. The instance names are different like MGMTUSER, CMDB, CMDB_HISTORY.
Thanks for the reply. But I am still not clear.
Do I need to create all these schemas in database?
I guess you are going for a fresh install.
Yes in that case you can create those instances on the DB and connect to those instances during the GW and DP server installations.
yes going for fresh Installation.
Is this to be done from DBA end?
All databases will be created by BSM configuration wizard after installing BSM binaries.
The only thing you need is DB accoutn with privelegies sufficient to create databases.
What DB are you getting BAC configured on (ORACLE or MS SQL)?
Also, what version of DB / BAC you getting configured?
There are HP manuals on DB & how installation goes.
Generally these are created when BAC is installed or You can ask DBAs to create one for you. But ensure a requirements are given in detail.
I suggest review the details given under BSM_920_DatabaseGuide.pdf that's available on HP support site.
Also, please refer to "Setting Database Parameters" in the BSM Installation Guide if you are creating Management User Schema manually.
Thanks Guys for all your urgent help.
I got it while installation BAC we can create these schemas.
