I've installed BPM 9.02 and 9.03 in separate machines. And they are visible in BSM 9.1 web ui. I added them as data collectors for my profile with just one scripts and it is getting displayed. However, the data is not being collected the data collectors at all.
I've scheduled the script to run every 15 mins all day long. I dont see any data in any of the reports say, triage report, transaction performance summary.
I'm puzzled as to why the data is not being collected. Any insight into this would be really helpful.
The problem is solved!!!. The memory was the culprit. The server (with 4GB memory) hardly had any free memory left with BSM running on it. Increase of physical memory solved the issue.
Now comes the other issue. The email alert or report is not getting delivered to the mail boxes. Not sure if the email is getting triggered at all. Do we need to provide access to the server on the SMTP server for allowing the tool to trigger an email in case of alerts/reports? or could there be some other issue?
not sure if you already checked this. but BSM servers must be allowed to send e-mail via your smtp server. sometimes this has to be configured on the mail environment since BSM is not really authenticating as a user. usually there is not much to set up beside the name of the smtp server and the smtp sender name on the BSM side. you can also check BSM log files to see if the alert is triggered.
