Using the apache monitor you will be able to monitor only apache servers, not apache + tomcat.
Yes, Apache Tomcat is used to deploy your Java Servlets and JSPs. So in your Java project you can build your WAR (short for Web ARchive) file, and just drop it in the deploy directory in Tomcat.
So basically Apache is an HTTP Server, serving HTTP. Tomcat is a Servlet and JSP Server serving Java technologies.
Well apache server monitor, only monitors HTTP and did not monitors Tomcat, then my recomendation is to monitor it indirectly, has http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/KM191204 says, you can monitor using Log monitor, url, port and/or process monitor.
Thanks for quick response on my doubt,
I visited that link and I am confirm that we can monitor Tomcat server by using other Monitor except Apache server,
In future we can have a requirement to monitor the Apache server so may be I will have a some issues on that time
for this, I want to install Apache server in our environment for Testing purpose, so that can you please give me some idea about from where I can download Apache server?
I searched in the Google but I did not get any setup file to install Apache server.
Thanks in advance,
One important things,
SiteScope Apache Monitor, only supports monitoring remote servers running on Apache 1.3.9, 1.3.12, 2.0 and 2.2 servers.
You can download apache Server in http://httpd.apache.org/download.cgi and on http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/platform/windows.html there are the steps to install.
