We were trying to use the Release Backlog to do our release planning. Much of the vertical real estate is "wasted" with multiple rows of tabs and a big metric section with lots of white space. It is frustrating not be be able to see more of the grid. It is probably OK on a normal screen, but a lot of our projectors don't have the greatest resolution.
1) It would be nice to have a button to be able to hide/shrink the metrics section.
2) It seems like it would be good to re-evaluate the header section (headers/tabs/sub-tabs) to see if there might be a more efficient use of space while still retaining the nice look & feel that you have done so far.
Re: Better use of real estate on Release Backlog - and Task Board and others
The real estate usageon the Task board also needs to be improved. At least 1/3 of the screen is used for navigation and branding and those summary pie-charts graphs that don't provide value to team members. In the Task Board or Planning board the team should be able to see as much detail as possible. Make the summary and navigation collapsible or optional.
